NEW DELHI: Anthony Amalraj entered the men's singles final of an ITTF event for the second successive week, only to lose in the title clash of the Brazil Open. He went down 12-14,11-9,7-11,7-11, 5-11 to Brazilian Calderano Hugo.
Amalraj hadlostto compatriot Soumyajit Ghosh in the Chile Open final but had managed to win the doubles title with Ghosh.
Hugo won the extended first game 14-12 before losingthe next to Amalraj. Hugo then proved his superiority to claim the title.
PRO KABADDI GETS NEW SPONSOR NEWDELHI:Pro Kabaddi has signed mobile phone maker Vivo as the title sponsor for five years ahead of the season five in July. The new season will see the participation of 12 teams and more than 130 matches spread across 13 weeks. CLIMBING BODY GOES FOR CROWDFUNDING
NEW DELHI: A crowdfunding campaign has been undertaken by a not-for-profit climbing organisation in order to make India a formidable outfit keeping in mind 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Girivi-har, one of India's oldest mountaineering club, along withMer-aki Sport has put together a devel-opment plan #Vision2020.
Funds to the tune of ^25 lakh need to be raised to provide coaching camps and participation in tournaments to the Top eight Indian climbers.
